About LANDFILL SOLAR:
===================
Landfill Solar provides a unique value proposition for landfill applications, as we are the only racking and ballast solution certified for landfill use on slopes up to 33 degrees (i.e. the typical slope for closed landfills). Our rack and ballast systems are protected by USA and international patents.

Applications:
==========
• Landfills, Superfund sites, and other impenetrable land.
• Brownfields, septic fields, gravel pits, rocky ledges, permafrost areas, and sloped surfaces where trenching is not possible or where blasting is cost-prohibitive.

Certifications:
===========
• Certified for landfill use by TRC Engineering.
• Meets EPA engineering requirements for landfills, super fund sites.
• Meets applicable design loads adhering to the following codes:
o International Building Code (IBC)
o ASCE 7-10 – Minimum Design Loads for Buildings and Other Structures
o Aluminum Design Manual – 2015 (The Aluminum Association)
o AISC Manual of Steel Construction

“ANAR”™ Racking System (Certified for Landfill Use):
=========================================
• Each rack holds 20 modules adjusted at the corners.
• Modules are continuously supported on all 4 sides.
• High GCR (“Ground Coverage Ratio”) due to 20 module-per-rack density.
o Assuming 365 watt panels are used, each rack will produce:
 250KWdc per acre
 1 MW per 4 acres
• Rack is all aluminum for light weight and strength.
• Rack design minimizes use of nuts and bolts. Clevis pins and slot connections allow rapid assembly.
• Rack can be configured for 60 and 72 cell modules.

“CONTOUR”™ Ballast System (Certified for Landfill Use):
===========================================
• All array configurations are certified to support:
o Varying wind speeds (up to 105 mph);
o Snow loads (up to 90 psf);
o Self-weight dead loads in accordance with applicable design codes.
o Wind and snow loads were assessed on array angles oriented between 20 and 40 degrees from level, and on hill slopes between 0 and 18 degrees (max = 3H:1V slope).
• No heavy equipment, no concrete foundation, no digging trenches, wires routed within ballast.
• Ballast laid by hand in minutes, and is filled with recycled
• Eight (8) tons of downward weight per rack.
Distribution and Installation:
• Installation cost is very low considering the rapid speed of assembly.
• Layout, assembly, and physical panel installation:
o 2 man days = 4 racks, 20 modules per rack)

Awards / Recognition:
=================
• Award: PV Magazine “Top 10 Array Changing Technologies”, 2018.
• Finalist: Solar Power International “Startup Alley”, 2015.

Advantages of Ground Mounted Systems:
================================
• Not limited by roof configuration or area.
• No roof holes, and no need to remove and reinstall panels when roof needs to be replaced.
• No concerns about roof ventilation in case of fire.
• Modules can be positioned due south with proper angle to ensure high efficiency.
• Panels can be mounted on North, NE, and NW slopes with panels pointed South.
• Cool temperature operation.
• Easily to clean and clear snow, allowing more days of maximum operation.
• Easy operation and maintenance.
• Rack and Ballast can be easily dismantled and moved.
• Since the Landfill Solar system is above ground, it is considered “removeable” and therefore may have additional favorable tax implications.

Leadership:
=========
• Mark Pelletier is the Founder, President and CEO of Landfill Solar. His 20-year history in construction and installation of ground-based solar systems give him the experience and expertise as a leader, and inspired him to develop, design and patent the “Anar”™ racking system and the “Contour”™ ballast system. He leads our team of industry professionals with experience in electrical and structural engineering, construction management, and new product development. Together, we have cultivated relationships with key developers, financiers, engineering consultants, suppliers, and subject matter experts in the utility solar sector. Combined, Landfill Solar provide a high level of manufacturing, consulting, and service to make your landfill solar project a financial and operational success.
